Hill Top Ramblings

Good Friday

It is a bit of a tradition in our house that Rob makes the Hot Cross Buns and the rest of us eat them.
However this year I nipped in first and mixed up the Paul Hollywood recipe last night, to prove in the fridge.
Mixed in the cinnamon, orange zest and fruit with a chopped Apple, then allowed it to rise again.
The crosses are pastry strips, then baked and glazed with apricot jam and gobbled while still warm.
Well, not all of them of course, some left for visitors and relatives, all welcome.
Rob will make his batch tomorrow for the Great Bun Taste Off.
He did say mine were delicious and moist, which was kind.
His are always fantastic!
