Kylemore Abbey

Monday has been so wet that we have spent most of the day inside the car. I haven't seen so much rain in a single day since the days when I lived over here in the West. The beautiful scenery was pretty well totally invisible all day. Late in the afternoon the cloud lifted just a little as we arrived at Kylemore Abbey. Run by the Benedictine nuns for many years as an exclusive girls school, it is now a cash cow attracting tourists by the thousand.
