Richmond Lock

We walked from Kew Bridge to Richmond Lock and back today - a respectable eight km. We had lunch in a new pub near Kew Bridge called One over the Ait - referring to the nearby island in the Thames. How many islands are in the Thames I wonder?

The rain didn't really start til the last third of the walk - but there's no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing! We had our Goretex gear so we were fine. The rain didn't put off the paddle boarders either, there were lots out on the river. I just can't understand the appeal!
