Found near a hall....

It's been a grey and dreich start to Easter in the Lakes - I'm glad my enjoyment time isn't tied to the holidays! Plans for outdoor climbing were shelved - which was good as it left me time to find a temporary solution to last nights car based problem - the sunroof decided to open on its own & refused to close again!

Pooch has had several short damp walks - fortunately for us the village shop is open today - so it's kept us from staring at the walls.On one of our 'lets go get something' walks we mooched around the back of Orton Hall and I found this splendid creature - obviously just emerged from a leaf litter filled lair - and quite magnificent in his own right.
