Burton Memorial

A day in London, I love just strolling around, noticing new things, revisiting old favourites. This is one of those in Victoria Tower gardens at the end of the Houses of Parliament, and next to the Thames. 
74 years ago my mother left me in these gardens (aged 4)  in the care of  my 8 year old brother while she returned to Clapham by bus, with the baby, to get forgotten train tickets.
