Congratulations old friends

Had a splendid evening with friends in Sheffield celebrating their retirement. They decided to do it together.
Really liked the venue and caught this on the way out.
Ian was my personal tutor and is a former colleague and Mary and I shared a supervisor for our research degrees and I got to know Mary's daughter when she worked at Leeds.
Several other former colleagues were there who know them from other places they have worked over the years. Academia creates lots of interesting degrees of separation.
I wish them well and I'm not jealous at all (not).
