Taughannock Falls, Taughannock Falls State Park, NY - Finally we got a very warm, blue skies sunshiny day - short-sleeved tee-shirt day.  We gave up our chores and drove over to Taughannock Falls before the sun got right over the falls.  The falls carves a 400ft deep gorge, with a 215 foot plunge - this waterfall stands 3 stories higher than Niagara Falls.  Today the falls had carved a deep cauldron with the ice in front being about 15 feet high.  It looked beautiful - took lots of pics but none could compete with the view in my mind when I first stepped in front of the falls today.
