Stirling Castle.

From the foot of the Wallace Monument.
This afternoon MaggieD and I took Fiona up to the Wallace Monument where we met up with Ali, Euan & Eve for a stroll up the path to the top. The views are just great although those from the very top are just fabulous!
As MaggieD has posted a shot of us all at the foot of the monument, I decided to show the castle, city and the Gargunnock hills beyond.
After a reviving tea/coffee/cake/scone in the cafe back down at ground level, we checked out the gift shop and Euan went home with a knights helmet while Eve had a Hamish the Haggis book.
