Bat

If you are going to ask me what sort... sorry I lost track.
This may be the very rare one they found, or it might be one of the other types.

The bats were being surveyed by members of the Avon Bat Group.
This survey happens several times a year, for bat boxes in some very nice wildlife reserves.

Any person handling a bat has to be accredited to do so as it is illegal in this country to handle a bat or to meddle with its roosting place.
(unless you are saving an injured one - contact the bat group for advice ).

If you want to go on a Bat walk / audio trail the local library will give you a map and an audio detector so you can do a self directed walk.
