View from Garret Hostel Bridge

Looking towards Trinity bridge, over the river Cam. It was such a lovely spring day, my granddaughter and I went for a walk along the Backs (of the colleges)  We made the most of her last day with me for a while and she thoroughly enjoyed herself as I gave her a guided tour. She liked the statue of Darwin aged 22 seated in his garden of plants gathered on his trips abroad. This is in Christ's college. We will see more another time. She wanted to climb the tower of Great St Mary's church, but she wasn't allowed to without an adult and my knee wouldn't stand the steep steps.In fact, she would have needed to look after me as she is taller and quite grown up for her age. She will go with her mum sometime.
