Brunnera Macrophylla

Fantastic. At last a mild and sunny spring day. I pricked out the Ammi Majus, removed the Ridolfia from the propagator and sowed Bupleureum Rotundifolia. Worked round the tree trunk bed, planted Lamium White Nancy for ground cover and dug up a copper beech sapling. Started to weed and tidy the white border. It's lovely out there. One of those evenings when you don't want to come in and just keep on pottering. This Brunnera has big felty leaves and tiny wee intense blue flowers, very much like forget me nots but they are not so invasive. They are happy in shade or partial shade. I have them in several places but this is the only one flowering today. There's a version called Jack Frost which has an interesting silvery leaf and is useful for brightening up a gloomy shady spot.
