HALF FULL
A quick Blippety Blip then off out for dinner.
Must be going to seed with all these bird shots...ah well, just a phase.
There were two little Blue Tits on the feeder today.
They came and went many times, never stopping for long but seemingly not bothered by my presence.
The camera was in another room and needless to say by the time I was set up and ready, they'd vamoosed!
Waited and waited in position, not wanting a sudden movement to put them off. Arms were aching.
Eventually...long eventually... one of them came back and that was it.
View in Large to see the feathers on top of it's head are a bit skew wiff
- two seconds before this shot, it's whole head was rammed right inside the feeder hole!
Had to leave my lunch half finished and dash for the train.
It's not ideal shooting through glass - so not many more of these shots.
PHEW, you sigh
Would like to capture the pair though. They are just soooo sweet.
The foray into birdland reconnected me to happy memories of my wonderful grandmother, who knew all about birds...and much much more
Feel very privileged to have had input from such a warm, inspiring, creative force.
She loved her garden and while she was unassuming about most things, her own achievements in particular... she was fiercely proud of her Lilac Tree!
This one's for you Abuela :
