All the best laid plans.....

So, Plan A was to  go with Sian to Slattery's for a cream tea as she has a voucher that runs out soon. What Sian didn't realise that to try and book a table in their teashop the day before you want to go is an impossibility, it is just too popular.

Plan B...Sian and I decided we would just go elsewhere and catch up over a cuppa and a cake. We both had all day....or so we thought! Sian then sent a text to say she had to be back at twelve as she needed to pick her daughter up from school.

Plan C...I had to whizz down to the bank first thing and then was going to meet Sian. I then had a text from Jacqui to see if I was free from 11.30am. I said I was meeting a friend but would text her when I was home as I could see her in the afternoon.

Plan D...Whilst whizzing down to the bank I got a call from my sister who was going to be leaving the Lakes and would meet up with me on her way past Manchester. I thought this meeting was scheduled for next Thursday....note to self: write down arrangements and don't rely on my swiss cheese memory!

Plan E...I phoned Sian, instead of her picking me up I would drive to the Lowry to meet her. I would then be able to drive to Bents where I was meeting my sis for lunch. I sent a text to Jacqui to see if we could meet after that....yes was the reply. I would let her know when I was leaving Bents.

Plan F...I met up with Sian at the Lowry, we had a great time catching up and wandering around. The sun was shining so we sat outside with a drink. There were ITV news people everywhere interviewing people about the General Election. Platforms were being set up in the plaza and I spotted Sky news reader, Durmot Murnaghan....I asked the security guys what was going on. They said they were setting up for the big election debate tonight. I wondered if Dermot would pose for a pic, after all I was still smarting that David Walliams hadn't posed on Saturday. "That's not Dermot," they said.....but they couldn't think of his name. I dug into the depths of the little grey cells and thankfully came up with his name...Mark Austin, thank goodness I hadn't called over to him before realising! Unlike Mr Walliams, Mark, my new best friend and rather nice looking in real life and what a shame when I googled him to check it really was him I saw he was married, was more than happy to pose for a photo!!

Anyway, Sian and I wandered a bit more then had another drink before I headed home so I could nip the Post Office before I went off to meet my sis. (Are you keeping up with all this? You've probably dropped off by now)

Plan G...my sis was supposed to be meeting me at about three ish, but as she had been on a longer walk than planned she hadn't even left the Lakes at 3pm.  As she had to be somewhere at 5pm if we met up it would just be for ten minutes...we decided it wasn't worth it.

Plan H...I phoned Jacqui to see if she was still around....she had to go and pick her niece up from school, we will meet up another day.

Plan I...I sent a text to Jude to see if she was in and if so did she have a bottle of fizz in her fridge?  There has been no reply :((

Plan J...I could do some cleaning...nah! Writing...nah! Planning my workshop...nah!

So...all the best laid plans hey.....ha ha ha!!

oooh.....just had a reply from Jude...at last...she will be home in ten minutes. Well, I'm going to walk round (because hopefully she has got a bottle of something fizzy in her fridge and as I have a cold coming on and a headache I need those bubbles).......so I shall speak later to all my lovely blip friends when I return to sink onto my sofa :))
