missed opportunities?

a day out for her and me to Kendal to collect the poorly-now-fixed laptop from it's convalescence home. We made the most of being at the metropolis; visiting the Quaker Tapestry - just wonderful needlework and such a gentle calming place - quite inspired me to pick up my needles, and then the big bookstore so Em could spend a voucher. She came home with a new book so was deliriously happy. Avoided the roadworks on the big road home by wending through Crosthwaite, Bowland Bridge, up the steep bank and down the other side to Gummer's How, marvelling at the view over Windermere. I was so engrossed in the trip and the day that it didn't occur to me to get the camera out until we reached a copse of larch for an emergency small-girl-needs-to-stop stop. So this is it. I liked the scratchy blown out grasses and the dark depth of the woods.
