Blossom in the rain

Made an effort to get out at lunchtime and managed to time it just as the skies opened and heavy rain descended across campus. I got soaked walking over to buy a sandwich but not as wet as the huge snaking queue of students waiting for special offer tickets for the summer ball. After the deluge, I had a quick walk round the gardens. The plants are really coming to life and the bubble wrap had been removed from some of the very tender plants. This blossom looked lovely covered in raindrops. I think that there was a big drip on my lens too but that added to the softness of the image.
