Skull and crossbones

A clear representation of death found on many tombstones. I particularly liked this one on a tombstone in St Cuthberts burial ground at the bottom of Lothian Road.

A fairly uneventful day to report. After my summer meadow blip of last night, a tractor arrived while we were having dinner to drop off two cows and their calves. So, the buttercups won't last long, but the calves are very cute to look at
