Aviator

This glorious building is a favourite of mine, a dramatic piece of modern architecture that captures and reflects the light in such an interesting way. It is the Aviator hotel, overlooking Farnborough airport in Hampshire, and it is also a bit of a favourite with the motor industry for events and as an overnight stop before early flights from the adjoining airport.

We stayed there last night with Peugeot-Citroen-DS, arriving yesterday in a wind so ferocious it almost knocked you off your feet, but departing this morning in calm, clear, beautiful weather that turned the exterior glass a vivid shade of blue.
