Covered in ice
We woke to a sprinkle of snow. It looked lovely but it was very cold, well below freezing. The sun was rising and it lit up the garden and I could see that the droplets of water had frozen on the plants. These Snake head fritillaries looked particularly pretty.
I was outside for a while and watched the pine marten come for it's breakfast. The two house sparrows had woken up and were busy talking to each other. A song thrush landed on the roof and started singing, another one replied from the trees near the burn.
Throughout the day there were a few more snow showers and it's now a lovely evening and sooo light, . Someone must be having a go at flying a plane as one has been flying over doing tricks :)
