living in a glass house

The workhouse

We visited Weaver Hall museum today.  It is the site of a Victorian era workhouse and the children played with toys of the time and got to have a tiny taste of how families may have lived and of course, worked, at the workhouse.  And OH THE FOSSILS!!  For some reason the gift shop stocks a fantastic array of fossils.  I HAD to get some, for the children of course!

Monkey's enlightened thought this afternoon- "I shouldn't put my head in the toilet!  Then my head would be stuck and I couldn't go anywhere, downstairs or upstairs.""

Indeed!
