George Eliot

Went to Nuneaton, Warwickshire today, the birthplace of Mary Ann Evans, better known in the literary world as George Eliot.

This statue of her always strikes me as being a bit out of proportion, but it is nice to know that the town have honoured their most famous daughter in this way. There is also a hospital named after her in Nuneaton.
