Sea lion in trouble

I was watching this little guy the entire time I walked the length of the beach. He was swimming in the same direction as I was walking, darting under the waves as they broke and seemed to be enjoying himself. Then, all of a sudden, he pulled out of the water looking very confused. He came right up to a small group of people and just sat down. We called the marine mammal rescue center because of the erratic behavior but then he took off again quickly reaching deep water. I hope he safely finds his family.
