Mr and Mrs Duck

Monday. Inverleith Pond is quite quiet, probably because its quite cold, and there's rain on the way. The swan and coot are nesting. Mr and Mrs Duck here are staying quite close to each other. Love is in the air, is must be Spring.

The moorhen however, is making a nuisance of itself. The drake has to chase it off. It then swims across to start to disrupt the nest the swan is sitting on.

Unfortunately I have to go back to work, so I don't get to see what happened next. Don't think it was quiet for long.
