Swan Loch

After a hard day in the temple of gloom dealing with the whereabouts of the missing plate of tray bakes and other such pressing matters we headed down to the Loch for a sheltered walk.

Despite the fact the wind was blowing a hoolie it was good to walk in the sun and to realise I won't be in the office till next Tuesday.

The little swan had the right idea and was sheltering behind the grasses from the nippy prevailing wind.

My good humour of the day was brought to an abrupt end when I returned home. The damn window cleaners had totally trashed all of my lovely, yet to flower, tulips which had been sitting up proudly with buds ready to bloom. To say I was livid was an understatement. Then Mr Lif discovered they had used the 'spare' gate again. This one is nailed closed and they had smashed it open rather than using the other one with the easy opening handle option. A rather curt phonecall ensued. I don't think the window cleaner realised that the offer of a bunch of flowers was a poor replacement for those ready to pop in the garden

A small wine is required to ease me through this.... ;)
