The magnolia tree in my neighbours garden has come into bud.  Like most places, it has been very windy overnight and during the day today, some of the buds have been ripped off the tree and lie scattered on my lawn.  Hopefully we will have calmer (and frost free) weather so we can enjoy the flowers when they come into bloom - for me they are one of the treats of the Spring.
