Forsythia

A step along the lane and this Forsythia, hanging over a wall was catching the morning sun. Not for long, a deluge coming in again now. Very welcome as we've had a very dry winter.

I've had the 3rd of 6 hydro- therapy sessions now. It's a bid to reduce muscle spasm that makes sitting/driving  so painful. I can also do the exercises when I swim : it seems to be paying off. I want to get to the sea.

Yesterday I saw the on- screen Hamlet with the wonderful Maxine Peake as Hamlet. The only bit that didn't quite work for me was when Hamlet confronts his mother Gertrude after slaying Polonius ( hidden behind the arras).  Often the underlying incest becomes apparent, but with an older Gertrude and female Hamlet it felt more  ( to me ) like small boy with Granny!.
