Early signs of fruit.

The light rain we had, has encouraged our tree to show some fresh green leaves and some very early signs of figs.

The fig tree can survive on little water, but we have seen that when there is a water shortage, the tree itself doesn't grow very much. However, during the summer, its large leaves provide shade for other plants.

We'll look forward to picking fresh figs.....it tends to be a race between us and the birds!
