Eeughhhh!

What a fabulous day!  It began with a reminder about how fortunate I am to travel to work in pretty much traffic-free conditions.  Today's journey was in the opposite direction in to Nelson at about the time that every man and his dog were also heading that way.  My usual 10 minute trip to town took almost 30......eeughhhh!


The event in town was the Inspire Conference - a gathering of the regions very capable and motivated learners to engage in a range of workshops put together to educate, challenge, interest and inspire them.  One of the more popular ones was House of Horrors! This workshop was taught by a Year 9 girl (age 12) from a local college who is a self taught horror make-up artist.  Amazing ability to lead and inspire from this young woman and her 'students' (some of whom were older than her!) absolutely revelled in the learning.


(Apologies to anyone who felt a bit quezy looking at this.  The effects really were very realistic but not being able to post student faces made the choice of the finger a pretty simple one.)
