Monday, March 30, 2015 -- Farmers Market

Mostly we go to the Farmers Market to purchase homemade soup from Stephanie. She is an excellent soup maker. Today her soups were "Red Bean & Barley" and "Roasted Broccoli & Leek." We purchased a quart jar of each flavor.

Then I did a quick walk-thru to find carrots (our dogs love carrots). I also purchased a 3-pak of strawberries that taste as sweet as sugar. Then we found the celery root and had never seen one before. The farmer told us to fix it like a potato or to slice it to put in a salad.

Tomorrow is Cesar Chavez Day -- a California holiday, so I don't have classes to teach and therefore we remain at our place on the coast. The days here are very enjoyable.
