Spring Moon

After the excitement of the solar eclipse I was amazed to see the beautiful huge moon outside my kitchen window. I dashed out with my Canon EOS 1000D and put it on a tripod to see what sort of effect I could get with a very long exposure. Although it looked black to the naked eye, in the photo I could see the surface of the moon with all the features showing through the shadow that covered it. Amazing evening, if a bit chilly.
