New Floor

Up with the sun this morning (on the first day of the holidays, eek!) at 7am. My long awaited floor excavation/rebuild was finally happening today.

I've tried to avoid this for the little over two years that I've lived there, but it ended up being unavoidable. The existing tiles had been discontinued, but I wasn't disappointed as I got to go for the glossy ones I'd been talked out of at the time. I've been told there's a high likelihood I'll slip and break my neck but I don't care!

I've spent all day at home, getting under the poor tiler's feet, and making cups of tea. I'm exhausted, the downstairs is far from my meticulous high standards, but the tiles are on and I think they look great! He'll be back in the morning to grout them, and then put the toilet back in. 

So I'll be staying at my mum's tonight, seeing as I am without facilities!
