Stolen land

Today was a work-from-home day. The sun came out in the afternoon for the first time in a while and i took advantage with a long walk. A lot of new homes have been built down the road, and in the adjacent woods i spotted this sign and a few others about stolen land. I wonder what was there before the new houses popped up!
