Diary of an Edinburgher

Archie visits the Wild West

So much for British Summer Time! It's turned perishin' again!

We had an appointment with the bank in Morningside, and they were happy for Archie to come in too, although they have a sign saying 'Guide Dogs Only'. Stacey said that she prefers dogs to children in the bank, and related a story that I won't repeat here. Suffice to say, the child behaved worse than any dog...

Before our appointment we had a wee explore and I found a wee area that I'd read about ages ago, and had attempted to find, but failed. And there it was today - a wee street that has stepped right out of the Wild West! Right in the middle of Edinburgh. Archie was confused.(The map isn't detailed enough to show it).

It was just too cold to walk home over the Links, and our bus just arrived, so back home sharpish without a big walk for Archie. He was very good on the bus, and passed a couple of dogs without barking. He's getting there...

JR has started sorting her wardrobe out for the cruise... This time next week we'll be wallowing in luxury. I hope. I'm going to have to  sort out some suitable attire this week. Nothing fits. Not that I had 'suitable attire' before, even when I was working...

Enjoying the new Netflix series 'Bloodline' - been watching three in a row each night.

The (secondary) windows arrive tomorrow. That's a full three weeks after they had to take them away to be re-done. On 'priority!'

EDIT: Here's a link for an explanation. Thanks to Haberdashery!
