Red Tailed Hawk

I was supposed to be taking a hike with half of my birds class and doing trail maintenance at 2. I emailed the professor leading us and said I'd be 10 minutes late cause my class ends at 2:10. He gave me the names of the trails we were taking.

I got pretty lost. Ended up on the completely wrong side of the Nature Preserve. After an hour of hiking by myself, being cold, and finding no one I ended up on one of the back roads to campus and walked back through campus.

But once I was out of the woods I did see this red tailed hawk watching me on a telephone pole. As soon as I went to get a picture he flew off.
