You know it's time to get a new job when....

...you find yourself wending your way through a stormwater drainage system.

I have decided it's definitely a bad sign when you catch yourself talking to the camera robot as you pat it on the head and send it off down the sections that are too small for humans to access. Which is a complete waste of time because the stupid thing just keeps headbutting the concrete or running out of cable. Usually this happens just as the spotlight picks up something that could be potentially interesting (but it invariably turns out that it isn't and is, in fact, quite stupendously dull).

However, I can definitely confirm there are no crocodiles or alligators or aliens down there. I did see quite a few rats and small fish.

And I'm not even going to mention the thing that looked suspiciously like a dead guinea pig.
