Long summer

A lot achieved at work today. It was good to finally cross some things off my very long list.

We also tweaked expectations and work loads. You can't staff without an impact. Happily I had a lunch break today :-)

Not so happily, the painter didn't show up to finish the touch ups at home. I took a bit of time off to get home on time to meet him. Anyway, don't get me started. Hopefully we'll tee something up Easter Monday. But the god son's visit comes first.

I feel a bit disappointed and deflated with our loss in last night's World Cup Cricket final. But my feelings of gratitude and pride in the way we won - and lost is greater. What entertainment and athleticism we've seen. What a ride! How wonderful we made the final.

On the day we were beaten by a better team. When it comes to the verbal side of things. The Black Caps have chosen their standards. Good on them. What other people do is up to them.

Move on and let them embarrass themselves.
