Wharariki Beach........

Taken near Stone Bridge and looking North towards the Archway Islands.
 
This beach is just a few kilometres from Farewell Spit. Nearby is Cape Farewell which is the northern most tip of the South Island.

Wharariki Beach can only be reached by a 20 minute walk from the carpark – over farmland, through Manuka bush and across sand dunes.
Cliffs, white sand, seals and often wild seas, strong winds and sand storms can be experienced on this exposed West Coast beach – but it is a magical place to visit.
