Taxonomically Difficult

An Allium from our doorstep.

Informally referred to as the onion genus.

Hard to classify, with incorrect taxonomical descriptions and decisions being widespread.

Apparently.

I just think they are a gorgeous plant and I'm not one for big flowers or massively bright colours.

Botany has got a lot to say for itself, it shouldn't all be about big, hairy, salmon eating bears or the umpteenth issue of birdwatch, springwatch, autumnwatch, urban watch, gerbil watch... Not to say I don't find the animal kingdom exciting too!
