roadtrip treasure

After a delightful church service in the RV park, we headed to the mountains this afternoon in search of more wildflowers.
I confess I billed the trip to my friend, Cheryl,  and ever patient hubby as a simple 2 - 3 hour loop, and it ended up taking us on very twisty, bumpy dirt roads that took 5 hours to cover. It was dinner time when we returned.
But we saw some very beautiful mountains, and lakes, and cacti and flowers.
My friend said she will remember the trip for the bright pink cactus blooms that dotted the hill sides (among other things!).
A lovely parting gift, for she leaves tomorrow.
