Andy

Andy the plumber came to replace my dad's broken shower, and inevitably ended up being pinned up against a wall and shot.

His style is Rockabilly, and he gave me a quick run down of the origins of the style, its influence on UK music, and its various subcultures. Far more interesting than the usual boring plumbers' chat about sweat pipes and bottom mounts.

Later, I went to see Far from the Madding Crowd  - the 1967 version with a smouldering Julie Christie playing off Alan Bates, Terence Stamp and Peter Finch against each other. No spoilers, but the best man won. Difficult to see how the latest version can be a patch on the original.
