Eilean Donan Castle

Star of thousands of shortbread tin lids Eilean Dolan Castle is a great sight. We woke refreshed, had breakfast and headed for Kinlochhourn, where we had a walk along the Barrisdale path. S has a bruised heel so we haven;t done much walking for 6 weeks, but it seemed to survive the 5 Km not too badly. The rain held off, but it was guy windy. It was our mountaineering club dinner in Kintail and we went down to Dornie for afternoon tea. The light was very strong giving a good silhouette of the castle. In the time we were there at least 20 people came and took shots of the castle. Skye can be seen in the background.
