Saxtead Post Mill

A very wet morning saw us going out as planned to photograph this nice example of a Suffolk windmill. There has been a post mill on this site since 1796, but it has undergone at least 3 rebuilds since then, milling stopped in 1947 but the mill is still in working order. Extensive renovations have been carried out in recent times with the last major work being new sails in 2008.
