Gladstone's Land

This is the gilded bird of prey which hangs outside the house - a surviving 17th century high-tenement situated in the Old Town of the city of Edinburgh.  It has been restored and furnished by the National Trust for Scotland.  L and I didn't have time for a visit but we certainly plan to go back.  

Today was our photography tour (Christmas present from our nieces) so we were on the move most of the time.  We did have a coffee break to get us inside out of the bitter cold.
