Via Crucis - The Way of the Cross

What a fabulous way to celebrate Palm Sunday!  We have just attended the World Première of Via Crucis - a Passiontide Oratorio which was performed by Cantores Oecumenica in the nearby Holy Angels Church, Halebarns.

We are not particularly religious but one of our members of staff, Jenny, was performing in the choir today and as the church is on our doorstep we said we would go.  

Having no idea what to expect we were in for a treat.  The chorus are all volunteers but today's performance also featured 3 professional singers, Joyce Tindsley, Richard Pollock and Oliver Dunn.  More information on them and the composers can be found here.

It was a wonderful and quite moving performance.  I could listen to it all over again!
