Silverbridge/Blackwater River Walk

Almost a lovely walk this morning alongside the Blackwater River with lots of Wee Ones.

Poppy muscled her way onto the walk, she is definitely not a Wee One, and she rewarded me by going AWOL for about an hour. She seems to have stopped for some reason, I was talking and didn't notice, when she realised we had walked on she ran back to the bridge where we had  stopped to chat and take photos. According to a helpful couple I met when I was looking for her, they had met her frantically running up and down the path, way back near the bridge.

I was imagining her floating down the river, stolen, lying injured on the rocks, every conceivable accident that my frantic brain thought up. Bud was getting very worried too, he kept running up and down the path looking for her. She must have eventually heard my whistle and ran back to us. She was panting and dreadfully thirsty when I put her in the car and has slept all afternoon.
