Sad day today ....

.... the girls in my office went to a funeral today (for a colleague's husband). We all said it was one of the nicest services that we'd heard. Funerals are never particularly pleasant, but it must have been heartwarming for the family to see how many people turned up wanting to pay their respects - so many that we couldn't all fit into the large chapel.

A quiet evening now snugglinhg up in front of the fire. I miss the open fire we used to have at my parents (there's something about the smell of an open fire), but at least this doesn't need all the cleaning.

Friday tomorrow, hooray - then hopefully a nice weekend. Fingers crossed.
