Movie Night

Tonight was our movie Fundraiser Night.  Screen booked, popcorn made, DVD at the ready.

One of my favourite sing-alongs, the 1973 version of Jesus Christ Superstar with Ted Neely and Yvonne Elliman.  Nominated for 3 Golden Globes.

Unfortunately one of the speakers didn't work it's best mid-movie and the sound went a bit quiet at some of the 'big' songs, but by that time the audience was enraptured.  

My biggest sister had the cassette version of the album in the early 80s. Hearing it again always reminds me of studying for final High School exams when the Scottish May temperatures were in the 'steaming' mid twenties and we listened to the soundtrack in the back garden playing on her old push button cassette player.

It hasn't lost any of it's magic.
