California's Central Coast is an agricultural region. The wild fields are now slowly losing theIr deep vibrant green. The foreshadowing of summer is evident.

In this photo, the workers have placed a canopy over the vegetable plants. I don't know what is growing here, but it certainly must be a valuable crop.

We are on our way to Cayucos. I left school as soon as I had finished teaching. This coming Tuesday is a new California holiday -- Cesar Chavez Day -- so the campus will be closed and I am beginning a long weekend. I'm looking forward to this.
