Memorial Day parade today. So patriotic, drawing crowds from all over Grand County.

The singing of the National Anthem started the tears, and they continued flowing as I listened to the "most moving" speeches.

A long time Grand Lake resident died recently. His son shared quotes from the diary he left behind. The words so beautifully illustrated what it means to be a soldier and a patriot.

While his father's words still hung in the air, the son received this embrace from a soldier.

This is what Memorial Day is all about.
