Kerry Day 1: Staigue Fort

We took a leisurely and enjoyable route up to Kerry, stopping off here and there to admire old stone forts such as this one at Staigue, explore enigmatic and well hidden examples of rock art and frolic on the huge white beach at Derrynane. Our B&B was a delight - spacious and funky, with the most colossal bed and a huge roll top bath in the bedroom!  Breakfast was a novelty - fresh fruit, purees and juices were left in the fridge in our room and miraculously in the  middle of the night, fresh croissants and muffins were left on our door.
