Top of the town
I spotted this tree looking all lush and verdant from the bottom of the High Street, thinking it had been planted especially for the upcoming Jubilee celebrations. But as I got nearer I realised that this tree had been there for years and I just hadn't noticed it before!
So, I'm going with this snap today as it just sums up Blipfoto - allowing you to see the world around you with fresh eyes.
Anyway, I also like the snap for the colourful bunting, the old-fashioned street lamp and the traditional phone box - not sure how long that will stay around as most of them have disappeared these days. Even the modern glass box ones are being ripped out now so many people have mobile phones...after all, when did YOU last see someone use a public telephone?
Sadly, I missed what would have been a cracking Blip when I spotted a motorcyclist around town with a wooden box strapped to the back of his bike - in which sat a dog, complete with goggles! The bike wasn't hanging about and was leaning over quite a way round the corners, but the dog leaned with the direction of the bike too, so I'm guessing he was used to it.
P.S. It has been decided that my flower picture from Saturday is probably a PEONY.
